Yoga is a very old system of exercise that performed to keep the body in a good state of health and. In this system of exercise infertility yoga is principally practiced to remove the weakness of the reproduction system organ, increase fertility and sexuality and also at the same time provide mental relaxation.
Yoga gives a balance to both our mind and body by relaxing and exercising. It may be useful for women with blocked fallopian tubes, hormone imbalances or other fertility issues, relieves stress and relaxes both mentally and physically.
Though infertility yoga is mainly practiced by females, it is good for both the partners and it looks good if worked together. The postures highlights on hips and pelvis through which we maintain our body physically and mentally. It also enhances the blood flow and hormone stability.
Infertility yoga postures also essentially embed those positions that increase the supply of blood and oxygen to the hypothalamus and pituitary gland located in the brain for their proper functioning. These glands are of great importance as they signal the release of hormones in the body. Hence it is required that these postures and essentially included during the yoga practice.
Many couples are concerned that they will not be able to do any of the yoga exercises, as they have never done yoga before. You dont need to be as flexible as a yogi master to do infertility yoga. The exercises are very gentle and you should not force or push the body beyond your own limits. With repeated exercising, you will notice your flexibility will improve quite naturally.
Another concern is the cost. I would recommend you purchase a DVD that explains how do to the yoga positions, but apart from that, theres not much else you nee. All you need to perform these poses is a mat or rug, some loose comfortable clothing and a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. There is a Fertility Yoga DVD available to guide you through the movements, and plays beautiful relaxing music. If you dont have the DVD, some quiet, gentle music is optional.
Inhalation and exhalation pattern is a vital factor of yoga. This helps to increase the supply of oxygen in the body. Hence while doing yoga, see to it that you maintain the inhalation and exhalation in deep and slow manner. As you lie down regulate your breathing and at the same time liberate your body from stress by tightening and relaxing, especially the anus and reproductive system.
